Parents' Expectations of their Children's Jewish EducationThe Center for Cultural Judaism was honored to work closely with the late Egon Mayer on several studies of the American Jewish population. His final study, completed in late 2003, explored parental expectations of their children's Jewish education, and was published in his memory in March 2005. In particular, this important study provides valuable insights into those who chose not to provide their children with Jewish education. Specifically, those who do not enroll their children in Jewish education would be more likely to do so if the content was cultural and the teachers secular. The full study can be found below.
