We are pleased to schedule a second evening of this program, which is SOLD OUT at the 92nd Street Y the previous evening. If Judaism is culture and I am a cultural Jew, how do I lead my life as a Jew, especially as a Jew in the Diaspora? What do I read? What do I study? How do I understand the Bible as Literature and God as a Literary Character? And what does this mean to us, as modern cultural Jews? Guest Speaker, Professor Yaakov Malkin, Academic Director of Meitar College of Judaism as Culture in Jerusalem and author of Secular Judaism: Faith, Values and Spirituality, delves into these questions and more.
Advance Registration required. $15 for non-members; $10 for members of affiliated secular and humanistic communities. Contact the Center for Cultural Judaism for more information and reservations, 212-564-6711 x302 or info@culturaljudiasm.org
